What else is annoying me lately
As it says in my header, I am a soccer fan. So on Saturday, I took a road trip up to Foxboro (that's somewhere slightly south of Boston for the geographically impaired) from NY. This brought up several things :
I would like to say with the exception of the game itself (an unmitigated disaster for the Metrostars, my home team.), I mostly enjoyed things. Until it came time to go home.
First kudos to the fine folks at the Massachusetts Stadium Authority or State Police or whomever the dumbfuck beuareaucrats were that decided to filter some 20k (a very good soccer crowd for MLS, but I digress) into all of two exits. And these exits come out on a one-way highway. So I don't think we left until 11:00, about 90 minutes after the end of the game.
Long story short - I end up getting home with sun shining and birds chirping loudly. Not good
Second - taking the train home from Penn Station, I was assailed aurally by some drunk wannabe tough guys who probably could have been hear all the way out in the Hamptons. It's four or so in the morning, shut up. And no, your girlfriend can't pull off the slutty Paris Hilton look. Damn the girl should come with a packet of bleach to wash out my eyes
Random factoid : I hate the Mexican National Soccer Team. Actually, I hate everything about Mexican Soccer. Needs to be said
I think I will enjoy watching the NBA draft tonight. Not so much because I particularly care where any player goes, but I am curious to see if
a) Hubie Brown can shatter his world record of "upside" mentions.
b) Isiah Thomas can totally screw up the 8th and 30th draft picks this year
c) How the crowd at MSG is going to react when he does screw it up. I have 7:31 in the "First Fire Isiah Chant" pool
d) I am going to need sunglasses to keep myself from being blinded but the suits and bling on display
e) Any painfully brutal interviews with an incoherent European
I would also recommend the Sports Guy blog that will come out the day after the draft on espn.com

i hate mexicans in general! Im sorry because I hate racism as much as the next person but they don't give you a damn choice in Texas! Im 23 years old and I have to put up with perverted 50 year old mexicans on a daily freakin basis! You think you've got problems with their SOCCER TEAM??? They look at me and think nasty thoughts and even worse... they think they have a chance! They hit on 12 year old little girls, they can't speak english, and they are rude and perverted. Now just so you know I am not speaking of Mexican-Americans. I HAVE american born mexican friends and plenty of them. I'm talking about true, swam across the border mexicans. I know MEXICANS who hate mexicans!!! These people hide out for years until they can legally apply for citizenship, they suck up our country's money through the government because they REFUSE to stop having kids that they can't take care of, and worst of all they don't even APPRECIATE this country for it!!!! Truly Im not racist. Im just a girl who is tired of being whistled at, and talked about right in front of me in a fucking language that they know I don't understand. I've been told what they say by other people later on and it makes me sick. Soccer teams? Try being a blonde white girl in texas. See what pisses you off about mexicans then.

As far as being rude goes well Iam pretty sure all your "redneck" friends you hang out arent rude, after all they would never ever think of you in any degrading way.
I totally understand your point, after all having someone speak in a language foreign to you may be a really scary thing. Why not try learning Spanish or are you to "blonde" for that. I dont blame you most people like you like sticking with the germanic language. As far as the MEXICANS who hate mexicans, there not "Mexican" there called spaniards who see themselves as superior to what a "Mexican" is, infact they see themselves almost as superior as your "colored" people.
